3 Ways to Use CBD Oil

Before getting into the three ways to use CBD oil it is important to know where it’s use is legal.

CBD oil has become one of the biggest new medicinal products. The reason for this is because it is now legal in many states of Northern America.

These states include Alabama, Georgia, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Mississippi, North Carolina, Oklahoma, South Carolina, South Dakota, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Virginia, Wisconsin, and Wyoming.

These states are in addition to the already legal states where marijuana is legal in terms of recreational use.

  • Ingesting

One way to use CBD oil is by swallowing and ingesting the CBD oil.

Ways to do this are eating a product with CBD in it. Some of these products include brownies, lollipops, candies, cookies and other baked goods or candied items.

The oil itself does not have to be cooked into a food. The oil can also be held under the tongue for quick bioavailability.

The bioavailability of the product all depends on the chemists structured ingredients.

One other product that is used for ingesting this medicinal oil is soft drinks. There are now sodas infused with CBD oil as well as teas and other beverages.

CBD oil can also be mixed with your favorite foods at home or your own personal drinks.

When CBD is ingested it passes through the digestive system and is processed by the liver. This process eventually inserts it’s active compounds in through your bloodstream.

  • Inhaling

The most common way to ingest CBD is by inhaling it. Ways to do this include smoking the CBD cannabis flower.

You can smoke this CBD cannabis in a joint, a bubbler, a bong, any other water pipes, rolling papers or creative methods you choose.

Use of a vaporizer with a cartridge full of CBD oil is another way to inhale CBD.

Inhaling the CBD concentrates with a vaporizer may be healthier than smoking the flower, because smoking cannabis can expose you to carcinogens.

However it is still not known how safe vaporizing can be so it may not be the best choice but logically it seems to be so at the current time.

The research done on what we know of vaping includes a few things.

Avoid using vapes with fractionated coconut oil, propylene glycol, or vegetable glycerin. These thinning agents have been found to contain compounds which can cause damage to lung tissue.

Inhaling CBD usually takes effect within 10 minutes or less. The amount of CBD absorbed is usually from 34 to 56%. It is important to talk with your doctor to find the best way that works for you.

  • Topically

The third way to use CBD oil discussed in this article is topically.

This benefits by directly applying the CBD oil to the affected areas of the body.

The application of CBD topically helps relieve pain and soreness. It is a soothing inflammatory for skin conditions including Psoriasis, eczema, and dermatitis.

Using CBD oil topically is an alternative for people who do not want to get the psychoactive mind-altering effect.

However typically CBD oil does not usually contain THC. But in any case some oils do.

When used topically it avoids the mind altering effects in which ingestion and inhalation may cause.

One other benefit of using topical CBD oil is to avoid over-the-counter steroid-based creams.

The CBD oil can be used for the same uses as the steroid-based creams such as joint pain and arthritis.

The topically used CBD oil is popular with elders, parents and other adults who may be concerned about drug tests in the workplace.
