That is what drives us at Halfcode and it’s at the core of everything we do.”
Halfcode’s initial product launch is designed to assist the visually and hearing disabled. The company’s smart glasses combine 720p live streaming HD video and bone conduction technology to interact with its Halfcode cloud artificial intelligence platform – Hal for short. Hal features natural language processing and advanced speech recognition to achieve contextual understanding.
Live Assist operators are also available to assist users with complex tasks that require human understanding. A built-in noise canceling microphone captures streaming video sound and can also be used to communicate with Live Assist operators. Powered by a quad core ARM CPU, the smart glasses boast an 8mp camera with a 120-degree wide-angle lens. Haptic vibration alert, simple touch controls and bone conduction headphones provide users with an intuitive solution in a lightweight package, at only 55 grams.
The company recently appointed Senior Software Engineer Eric Wu to lead its engineering team. Additional appointments to its senior management team are expected to follow.
